Right in the heart of town, opposite the station, The Bedford is back! Fully refurbed in October 2025, the pub has been revived, re-energised, and ready to pour you something special.

We’ve got 10 keg beers and ciders on tap, alongside three classic cask ales, including local favourite Pig & Porter from Tunbridge Wells, Harvey’s Best from Lewes, and the ever-popular Proper Job IPA from St Austell Brewery. Whether you’re into bold hops or smooth session pints, we’ve got you covered.

Hungry? Marlowe’s Burgers are now serving up seriously good food, fresh, juicy, and exactly what you want with a pint or a glass of wine.

And when the sun goes down, The Bedford comes alive. Expect Interactive Darts, Live Sports on huge 4K screens with surround sound, and a packed calendar of entertainment:
